About Dental Fillings
When your natural teeth develop cavities or when they become chipped, they have to be restored. The process of restoring damaged teeth is called dental fillings. Several different materials may be used as dental filling materials (gold, amalgam, composite, ceramic and more).
The two most common are composite and amalgam. While we do not provide amalgam fillings at our office, it is still very common.
composite fillings can be shaded to match the tooth being restored and the filling is undetectable. The restored tooth will look like it is 100% natural.
