Root Canal Treatment

A root canal treatment is necessary when a cavity progresses to a point where it infects the tooth’s pulp, the soft tissue inside the tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels.

This infection, often causing severe tooth pain, can no longer be treated with a simple filling. During the procedure, the infected pulp is carefully removed, the inside of the tooth is thoroughly cleaned, and the space is sealed to prevent further infection.

Once the root canal treatment is completed, the tooth may need to be restored with a crown to provide strength, protection, and restore its normal function.

This treatment helps save the tooth, alleviating pain and preventing the need for extraction.
